In year 2005, the GlobalGROUP CEO decided to restructure the group business and management with considerations given in globalization and regionalization perspective.
As the result, GlobalGROUP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd was established on 5th May 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as regional office for Asia Pacific. Mr. Jason Wong takes the responsibility as Business Development Manager and Dr. N. Sathia as Project & Technical Manager.
Objective of Regional Office:
a) To provide better supports to GlobalGROUP offices in the region
b) To help local office to achieve national accreditation
c) To expand GlobalGROUP services to all countries in the region
The main reasons that Kuala Lumpur has been selected as regional office for Asia Pacific are:
a) It is at the same time zone with Shanghai, Taiwan, Singapore etc
b) About the same time zone with Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia etc
c) Professional and experienced human resources
d) The staffs are well-versed in multi languages (English, Chinese, Indonesia, Tamil, Thai etc)
e) Hub for low cost flight in South East Asia (for example HQ of Airasia)
In line with Malaysian Government policy and to provide a local recognized certification to meet Malaysian industries and enterprises needs, GlobalGROUP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd is now moving one step further and have successfully achieved national accreditation from Department of Standard Malaysia (DSM) in year 2006.
In 2008, GlobalGROUP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd has been approved as critical location by United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS). In other words, Kuala Lumpur office is authorised to approve and issue certificate of registration.
Currently, GlobalGROUP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd can provide certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, HACCP, ISO 22000 and IRCA Training in Lead Auditor and Internal Auditor.
